Child, Adult and Family Therapist
Psychotherapy
As a psychotherapist my intention is to assist each person from a
relational place of authenticity and honesty. I am eclectic in my
approach, tailoring the treatment to each persons needs. My approach
embraces not only processing the pain and the presenting issues, but
also working towards a growth model where that person can proceed
towards a happier, more meaningful and satisfying life. This
includes not only their relationships with themselves and others but
also in their own personal development and life goals.
A few
psychotherapy approaches that I find supportive towards these goals are
Positive Psychology, (exploring what is working, not what is not
working), Cognitive Behavioral, (changing and improving responses)
Solution Focused (exploring options) and yet will also use Experiential
(the idea of experience being important).
My
emphasis is in assisting each person in discovering their own authentic
self, which allows them a much deeper understanding of themselves and
how they can now choose to be in their lives, rather than their lives
being something that happens to them. Transforming your life into
something amazing and meaningful
